Uniform Standards and Expectations
Students are expected to look smart at all times and be appropriately dressed for work as per the Academy uniform expectations.
We believe strongly that wearing the correct uniform is part of being ready to learn, part of belonging to Excel Academy and part of promoting positive attitudes along with preparing students for the world of work.
Plain pleated mid grey skirt (knee length or just above)
Tailored mid grey trousers
School navy V-necked jumper with red trim
School blazer with embroidered badge
Plain black shoes (not trainers, trainer shoes, boots or canvas shoes, low heels)

Shirts - must be tucked in at all times.
Jumpers - are part of the full uniform and must be worn around the Academy at all times.
Jeans and jean style trousers - whether in denim or any other material are not accepted. This includes leggings and jeggings.
Outdoor clothing - Tracksuit / hooded leisure tops are not acceptable. No hats or caps are to be worn around the Academy. Boots may be worn travelling to the Academy in poor weather, however shoes must be brought to wear in school. All outdoor clothing, including scarves, are to be removed inside the building.
Jewellery and Cosmetic Guidance
Nail Varnish is not permitted and any student wearing false nails must ensure they are an appropriate length and clear in colour (the Academy reserves the right to make a decision on appropriate nail length).
Hair colour - Hair must be of a natural colour and no extreme haircuts are permitted (the Academy reserves the right to make a decision on appropriate hair colour and style).
Jewellery - Only one pair of stud earrings are permitted and facial piercings are not allowed (any student with a facial piercing must replace it with a clear plastic retainer). No other jewellery is allowed EXCEPT a wristwatch.
Make up - Only small subtle amounts of make up are allowed, (the Academy reserves the right to make a decision on appropriate level of make up).

PENCIL CASE(With a minimum of a BLACK PEN, GREEN PEN, RULER, PENCIL, RUBBER)
When a student has PE lessons he/she is responsible for bringing their PE clothing.
If a student is excused from PE due to medical reasons, he/she must still bring their kit to the Academy in order to be an integral part of the group, regardless of their level of participation.
